EK Design Austria GmbH is an important partner in the automotive, commercial vehicle, special vehicle and mechanical engineering industry. We are a system development service provider and a system integrator, placing our engineer’s “in house” at our customer’s locations, as well as in our own project offices in Vienna and Steyr. To enhance our team, we are looking for a:

Tasks:

• Support the development of lighting (headlights and taillights)
• Developing solutions in cooperation with customer
• Ensure that legal regulations are complied with and technical requirements are implemented.
• Development, investigation and assessment of light distribution on automotive headlights from conceptual phase to start of production
• Communication with suppliers, customers and development departments
• Documentation and presentation for decision-makers

Qualifications:

• Successful completed Master degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, plastics engineering or alternatively trained as a technician or an engineer with professional experience in vehicle development
• Have at least 2 - 3 years work experience in automotive development
• Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA V5 (generative shape design) in the development environments of leading vehicle manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, VW, MAN, Daimler Benz, Porsche and Ford.
• High level of “team orientation” and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work independently in a confident manner.
• Analytical thinking, reliable, act on own responsibility, flexible and well organised for occasional business trips.
• Good English skills, additionally MS Office skills and a driver’s license round off your profile.
